macd organization to The Honorable Senator Edward Kennedy and RFK foundation

MACDO Moroccan American Community Development Organization November 11, 2008 The Honorable Senator Edward Kennedy Democratic National Committee 430 S. Capitol St., S.E. Washington D. C. 20003 Dear Senator Kennedy: We have great admiration and respect for the Robert F. Kennedy Centre for Justice and Human Rights Foundation and the tremendous work the organization has done to promote and preserve human rights. However, MACDO was shocked to learn recently that the RFK Foundation has awarded Ms. Aminatou Hider honorable recognition. Ms. Hider is a political advocate for the Polisario, a military guerilla group that seeks the destruction of the friendly, peaceful, sovereign nation of Morocco. Below are the reasons why we feel that Ms. Hider is an inappropriate candidate for this honor: 1- Ms. Hider is not an activist as she claims but rather an imposter. 2- Ms. Hider uses inflammatory remarks, rhetoric speech that incites violence and the killing of innocent civilians in the Camp of Tindouf and in the Moroccan Sahara Territory. 3- Ms. Hider uses false allegations to promote the Polisario’s agenda whose goal is to divide and destabilize the whole region. 4- Ms. Hider tries to inspire and bring back the old days of revolutionary Marxists and Communists to the region. 5- Ms. Hider seems willing to have the region entangled in a quagmire that breeds terrorism and that could destroy the stability of North African nations. For all the reasons above, MACDO hopes that the board will reconsider its decision to award Ms. Hider the RFK’s honorable recognition. Thank you for your serious consideration of this matter. Respectfully yours, Mr. Salah Majid President of MACDO
